Yesterday I got a batch of CDs for the final version of THE ART OF DECEPTION…tomorrow it’s broadcast! I don’t think I’ve ever worked on such a tight deadline before. And it’s great!
It’s on BBC Radio 4. The broadcast times are:
10.45 am, Monday 22nd-29th June (repeated 7.45pm every day.)
And then it’s on BBC iPlayer for a 7 day window after each live broadcast. Just follow the link, or click your iPlayer icon, and type the name of the drama into the Search box. There’s a lovely picture image to accompany the broadcast which those iPlayer boffins have conjured up.
I’m told iPlayer works abroad – so this is a truly global transmission!

Sounds an interesting idea – I’m going to listen next week.
Found this post when I was looking for info on kevin Mitnicks ‘Art of Deception’ –
Iplayer does work abroad for radio streams.
Hi Phil – long time no speak! Just here to say congratulations and I’m enjoying the instalments on iPlayer
Hi Chris!
Great to hear from you. Glad you’re enjoying the eps – I can’t believe they only gave me five episodes! I could have carried on writing these characters for ages!
Searched Radio 4 website without knowing the name of it, after catching the third episode and needed to start from the beginning. It was excellent. Now have an hour of listening on the iplayer.
Just about to listen to the final episode on BBC iPlayer. The Woman’s Hour Drama is rarely up to this standard. The Art of Decpetion takes you to the theatre of your mind and in my humble opinion it’s the believeable (though extraordinary) characters and the comprehensive background knowledge of the writer that gives you the ticket.
Gee, I hope the final episode gives the pay off and isn’t one of those wishy washy “you decide for yourself” w*nks
Found your website after catching an episode on the radio – did the iPlayer thing, and greatly enjoyed the five episodes. We’ll watch out for you again!
