This in from my spies in Sheffield...

The Waterstone's blurb is 'Imagine Firefly rewritten by Iain M. Banks', which I rather like....

Hi Philip, Dave here from South Africa. :-) Just wanted to let you know that I was lucky enough to win one of the copies of Debatable Space that were given away on your Facebook page, and I've got to tell you, it's a wonderful read so far! The humour is sharp, the imagery stunning, and even the way the book is set out is brilliant (I paged ahead and saw the 'Anti Matter Bomb' section, really cool!). :-)

I've got a SFF blog going, and I'd like to ask if it would be possible to do an email interview with you, at your convenience, sometime after I've posted my review of the book?

    Thanks for a great read!

Great to hear from you Dave, and delighted you got one of those rare free copies! Hope you enjoy it all the way to the end. And yes, I'd love to do an interview...

Well, really, you and your book was one of the biggest surprises i haв in the last years...Actually i usually do not buy basing on backcover's opinions, BUT this time was special for i was given a free gift sertificate and simply had to spend it...So...im looking through the pile of books trying to find something that i know being of good quality...and actually cant find it...than im forced to buy something entirely unknown..So, actually as i do like sc-fi I took ur book from the shelf, and studied all the good coments about it...they were good actually - but the thing that has made me buy it - was the part of story i read at random - the one about making a footage for ransom..I really liked how unpredictable was ur idea, so i decided to give it a go..and really what a ride it was...One of the most marvellous, unporedictable and simply craziest experience ive ever had...So thank you again for writing this masterpiece, from now o ill be waiting for your next book.
