I actually don’t know. The head of Radio Drama is Jeremy Howe, and the Controller of Radio 4 is Mark Danziger, so I guess one of those two people. There’d need to be a strong indication that there’s real interest before they’d repeat a drama or release a CD, but I’m hoping that will happen some day.

Hi Philip,
So who would we need to contact in the BBC to set up a demand for either a re-broadcast of Breaking Point (or a release in some form or other, electronic/CD? Though I suspect this is less likely)

I’ve just had the same query from a member of Eliot Cowan’s fansite….the BBC don’t like to release recordings of their old shows except when they are mass produced by the BBC…very vexing…Let me work on it!

Thanks for your response, Philip. The dramaturgical paper combines Karin Magaldi’s Dramatic Writing class with Primus St. John’s African Literature. I’ve been comparing Mda’s novels and plays but would like to include Salih’s “Migration” novella with a dramatic script. In the US Magaldi is known for her Shakespearean productions, especially at U Santa Cruz and St. John is a poet. Me? Just a student who is currently working on my own play based in post-colonial Fiji. Best, Richard
